Why should an NGO have a production studio?
People living in poverty are often made invisible, reduced to numbers , crises or stereotypes .
Yet, behind the realities of precariousness , exile or exclusion , there are millions of invisible trajectories, carrying ideas , ambitions , creativity and commitment .
And among them, a generation growing up amidst major contemporary challenges:
Climate crisis, social inequalities, migration, access to education, democratic fragility...
Youth Visions Studio was born from a simple observation:
AS A REMINDER
SOCIAL INEQUALITIES ARE STILL TOO PRESENT
Half of the population has no social protection, one-third has no drinking water and one-eighth lives in slums.
ECONOMIC INSTABILITY TOO
8.8% global inflation in 2022, a level not seen for decades.
A SETBACK FOR DEMOCRACY
only 8% of the world's population lives under a full democracy, the lowest index since 2006.
A GROWING CLIMATE EMERGENCY WITH
3/4 of humanity exposed to lethal temperatures by 2100.
Although these young people will be the first to be affected by the world of tomorrow, their voices remain largely underrepresented in media, cultural and political spaces.
It was from this reflection that the desire to create was born.
After several years of involvement with Life Project 4 Youth (LP4Y) between 2019 and 2021, Rachel Cisinski and Romain Mailliu wish to continue to share the stories of the young people they met in the field.
Inspired by an idea from John Delaporte, co-founder of the LP4Y movement, they began to imagine in 2022 a first documentary project: I Am The Future .
The ambition is then to tell the story of youth and social inclusion issues in a different way: not to speak for young people, but to create a space where their voice can fully exist.
